Entry 51: A New Beginning
A whole year had gone by, and it feels just like another day. Goals will be made and broken, and resolutions will be tested. So, what do you plan to do for the new year? Did you complete everything you wanted for last year?
Amid all that's going to occur in the new year, I'm starting mine with my cousin's wedding. She's about to commit not only the new year with the love of her life, but a bond that will last the rest of her life.
Can you commit a goal that will last for the rest of your life? Seems daunting, but it's completely doable. If I was tasked with creating a lifelong goal for myself, it would have to be something that is feasible.
More confidence? More energy? How about an open mind and heart? Newlyweds have their whole lives to figure it out, and there's guaranteed to be a few bumps along the road, but at least they have each other for support.
Perhaps that's what the rest of us need: assistance from others. Who said new year's resolutions had to be done alone?
Obviously, finding someone who is willing to help is its own challenge, but maybe you could find a friend who has the same goals in mind and tag team them.
As they say; team work makes the dream work. So here's to another great year.
