Entry 96: Mature Thoughts
I had a dream last night that continues to support the notion that a person’s subconscious has a mind of its own.
In my dream, I was taking care of a neighbor’s dogs in a neighborhood I did not know, but I went with it. The neighbor’s left for the weekend, and I was alone with this other person, who looked familiar (in real life). We had so much fun together as friends, yet we were strangers. The dogs had their own fun, so this person and I hung out throughout the dream. I cannot recall all of the events that occurred between me and the stranger, but we got along swell. After the neighbors return from their trip, I say goodbye to my new friend and kiss her on top of her head, as a farewell. She thanks me for being so courteousness and well-mannered while we hung out, so she holds my hand and we walk back home.
Apparently, my mind conjured this fantasy scenario all on its own, but the subconscious has a way of revealing a person’s true desires, perhaps? If I had to guess where those ideas began, I would guess they were from the Peanuts Movie, which had a beautiful story that made me reconsider my way of living/thinking.
Anyways, I’m sure you (as a reader) wonder why I write some of the things I do, even when they are personal. Well, why not? I tell my friends theses things, with the assumption that they are allowed to tell their friends what I told them. Also, I enjoy the feedback I get from these stories, because sometimes they shape my way of viewing life.
