Entry 71: Crash Course
Ok, so I do know a fair amount of modeling and animation within Maya, but I have gotten rusty. So rusty, in fact, that I wasted a few hours creating a 3D model the wrong way. But then again, I now know how not to create certain 3D models.
For the past week, I have been studying again for this program (about 16 hours worth of tutorials), just as a refresher. Well, it turns out the program is still as difficult as I remember it was back in college. I mean, look at this screenshot of the interface:
Just to give you an idea of this process, the object in white wireframe is my failed attempt at modeling, which is extremely bad for making a good quality character. The green wireframe is my current progress, which is turning out fabulous.
I just downloaded the program yesterday, so I still have a while before I can show you anything worth showing (i.e. higher quality renders). But until then, I'll keep you readers updated whenever I make major headways.
See you next time.
