Entry 124: In the End
In my previous Entry, I mentioned a story that I'm working on called "Project R" (title pending). While I have rough details of the outline, world dynamics, and story progress, I frequently think about its most pivotal moment: the end of humanity.
Many things can cause extinction; war, famine, plague, natural disasters, and so many little things that could add up to larger destruction. I've always wondered about all the different and unique endings that may occur and the series of events that led up to them. What if a cure also caused the disease? What if the villain succeeded? What if the timer ran out? Would the end be quick? Would anyone notice before there was no going back?
Not trying to present my readers with a morbid outlook on our future, but thinking about an alternate reality is interesting, or at least I find it so. As for my own narrative endeavors, I have a long way to go before I am confident enough to exchange rough drafts with my peers, since I am new to screenwriting or whatnot.
More thoughts on this later...
