Entry 133: Monster Isle
Whenever I consider the purchase of a new gaming console, specifically an Xbox One, I'm always torn between the few games I'd actually want to play versus the horrible startup time it takes. I don't see that much of an investment value in it, but something that I would consider in the "gaming" market would be the VR headsets.
For the time being, VR is relatively new and expensive, and not quite robust as they could be, but in the near future the technology can serve a neat role in my creative endeavors. Most consumers may use the headset for gaming, but its potential for creating immersive worlds is unbelievable. What grabs my interest is that I could export my 3D creations into the VR world, which will breathe a new life into my art.
One of my goals would be to "paint" in 3D space, and use these models as size references for monsters and such in my narrative works. Here are a few examples of some things I'd love to create in 3D:
Currently I am creating several variants and posting them everyday on Twitter, if you are curious about seeing any updates.
