Entry 134: Stasis
This week, nearly every person in our household got sick from a bug. Everyone had at least one episode of upchucking, but if that wasn't enough, we were later plague with fatigue. As a result, I had to call in sick from work, which I dislike doing.
I like to occupy my time with some sort of accomplishment, whether it be my art or beating a challenging video game, but the one thing I despise more than most is being bed-ridden with no energy to do anything. Some people enjoy the time off from work or responsibility; a time to relax and veg out in front of the TV. But to me, this is extremely unproductive.
Even in college, I rarely took naps, since I saw them as a waste of time. In the four years I attended college, I have probably taken less than a handful of naps, and most of them were to sleep off nausea or a cold. But this sickness I have now is stronger, and a day's worth of napping hasn't helped in the slightest. If anything, I'm just hoping to bypass the sickness with time.
I have an early work day tomorrow, so hopefully I with recover just enough to make it through the day with enough productivity.
Until next time...
