Entry 141: Taking Notes
A few weeks ago, I went on a scavenger hunt for pocket-sized notebooks that I could jot down something that came to mind while at work, lest I forget about it. I went to Michael's, the craft store, and they didn't have anything small enough to fit in my pocket along with my wallet, which is already small as it is.
The only small notebooks they had were filled with cheesy graphics and borders, so I asked a store employee and he recommended Office Depot, which was across the parking lot. If I remembered his name, I'd give him a shout-out, because store employees who are not afraid to refer their potential customers to another business is amazing, and that alone gives me great respect for them.
So Office Depot had what I needed: thin and small memo books, about 2.5 x 3.5 inches. And later that day I bought some small drawing pads via Amazon. Oh, and I did buy some art pens from Michael's, as well.
I mostly use the drawing pad as my Daily Doodles collection, which I post every day on my Twitter. My goal with these is to fill the entire spiral with doodles and archive them for reference. While at work, I use my little memo book to write down fleeting ideas that would otherwise remain a daydream.
