Entry 171: No Rest

Amidst a night of restlessness, my dreams prevailed.

I was walking around a quiet neighborhood. The hour was in the evening, the sun thinking about setting, and the golden rays of light shinning through the pine trees. I walked up to a neighbor's house and found my high school friend Justan, who I've had no contact since. We walked around the empty streets talking about video games and stuff that doesn't really matter, and I even questioned why he chose to hang out withme, since our conversations were bland. His response was that we were still friends.

I tired to go to bed, since I was exhaisted from who knows what. I could overhearmy little brother crying a few rooms down because I opted out for sleep instead of playing games with him. As I tried to catch at least a few hours of rest, someone began to hit me with a belt and forced me to go play with my brother. I was so delusional and tired that I angrily stormed to my brother's room to playgames with him, half asleep.

We played a game with characters similar to Rayman, and a few of our special powers included "disrobe first layer of clothes" and "change attire into bathing suits." It wasn't until our characters started throwing our smokebomb powers onto several more NPCs that I realized that this game shouldn't be marketed as a child's game, yet it was. The cliff diving and ninja jumping were fun, in retrospect.
