Entry 172: How to Learn Again
I downloaded Unity and started some tutorials for making a game. And I know virtually nothing about coding a game.
I know animation and I love learing the steps to making characters dance in the wind, but making a video game is a whole other beast. To make a simple sphere roll, I hade to follow a "beginner's" tutorial which was rifled with scripts and codes that were as foreign as sunflowers to penquins.
But my brother knows a thing or two about game coding.
Apparently he took a high school class about game design, but most of it was uninformative, according to him. Yet with my visual ideas and aptitude for firguring out something new, his basic knowledge of scripts is enough to propel the two of us into this intimidating frontier.
And making a garbage game with the player known as "scrubplayer_mlg," well, at least it's fun playing around with code.
