Entry 178: What Wakes Me Up
My neighbors. Usually my neighbors wake me up. My blackout curtains permit my night-owl habit to sleep until noon, but those lively neighbors tend to make a ruckus with all of their laughter and whatnot.
Actually, they yell at their kids, but that's a story for another time.
I usually wake up to play a game that I left off last night, but, other than my job, not much motivates me to get-up-and-go. No driving force, no deadlines. Not much.
Yet at work, I give it my all. Tasks, goals, problems, tech issues, quotas; the whole thing, this gets me moving. I am seen as a hard worker and dedicated associate, easy to get along with and strives for teamwork. All pistons firing.
Motivated by work, yet sunken by freedom. As an artist, this is my bane.
